Sunday, September 17, 2023 • 2 Tishrei 5784
5:00 PM - 6:30 PMStuyvesant Town Playground #3We're thrilled to announce that sign language (ASL) interpretation will be provided on Rosh Hashanah for an opportunity to learn about Tashlich, the ceremonial casting of our sins (as small pieces of bread) upon the water, and actually do it ourselves after a outdoor blowing of the Shofar that's open to everyone, and hope that you can join us!
WHAT: A family-oriented event to learn about (and, later, observe the ritual of) Tashlich, followed by an outdoor Shofar-blowing for everyone on Rosh Hashanah's 2nd Day (This usually happens on the 1st Day but not, as is true this year, when that day is also Shabbat)
WHEN: 5:00 PM -- 6:30 PM ET (GMT-5) on Sunday, September 17th
WHERE: Stuyvesant Town's Playground #3, just south of 610 East 20th Street, near Avenue C, in Manhattan (https://www.stuytown.com/about-us/map), after which we'll walk to the nearby East River for Tashlich
WHO: Bram Weiser, whose work will be underwritten thanks to UJA-Federation of New York's Jewish Community Deaf Interpreter Fund
